↓ Gets a little political (non-partisan)

What is really needed to invest in humanity?
Ten points: One Big Step
- Preserve Democracy. Stop corporations and unknown entities from buying elections, overturn Citizens United. This is the so-called swamp; the oligarchies, the corruption in the world, the endless money behind broken politics.
- Voting Rights. All people voting, not land, not companies. Election day needs to be a national holiday. Ranked-choice voting can help move away from the divisive and broken two-party system.
- Low Term Limits for Congress and Courts. More of a cycle of our civil servants will force those serving to get more done in their time. Establishment and career politicians should not be able to trade stocks and make money from their positions.
- Actively pursue peace with vocal divestments from war/war-machines and investments in a modernized education system focusing on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics). Frankly, these are the best aspects of humanity that we have to offer so be proud. Including arts within STEM is vital because the general term 'arts' covers foods, sports/games/activities, visual arts, music, film, storytelling, dance, etc.
- Tax the unfathomable wealth that's out there and close the loopholes. There's enough wealth and human-power to get nearly anything done, anyone who says otherwise is either ignorant (when it comes to orders of magnitude of wealth and human-power) or is lying. Humans are humans' greatest resource. They say it's a dog-eat-dog world but look around; in reality it's a human-train-dog world. And a trained dog can do some pretty amazing things...
- Citizens fear for their lives when they see the people who are supposed to keep peace, the system is broken. We need to demilitarize agencies and fix the corrupt unions. Reallocate funds for bodycams, build trust by punishing wrongdoing.
- Sustainable Energy, Food, Water, Air, and Useable Products. We have the technology, we just need to commit and pivot wholeheartedly as people. Demand compliance laws for companies and the ones benefitting from the destruction of the Earth and Humanity. This will only happen when we agree to have love and respect for the Earth and Humanity. Responsible building and waste management is the only way to move forward.
- Oversight, accountability, and regulation from real experts within fields. No more pay to play. It shouldn't need to be said, but trust science. If you don't trust science join science. That's the beauty of it, they are communities that are built on discussion and comparisons of ideas and experiences. A better integration is needed of experts (usually but not always scientists) and those put in charge to better the community as a whole (usually but not always politicians) In some places, the government has complete control over science and companies. This is obviously a flawed system. In other places though, companies have control over the government. This is just as bad.
- On the topic of Guns. Although peace is what we all must strive towards, guns will forever be a part of humanity. Because of this, we must be responsible. There are a few obvious points that should be agreed upon. Background checks, prohibiting abusers from purchasing, intensive testing for licenses, and new-gun registration. These are the same as for motor vehicles, another bit of technology that if not respected, can be taken away for the good of the community. Our greater community is in dire need of help.
- If we really want this civilization to work, we must all have Life (the right to physical and mental health with body autonomy) Liberty (the legal system fixed into a justice system) and the pursuit of Happiness (livable wages, reasonable housing, and access to all of the arts and knowledge that humanity has to offer). Everyone wants to do what makes them happy, with the ones they love. People will work for a world worth living in. People just want to live good lives.

↓ Gets a little philosophical

Good is hard to define, but you know it when you see it.
There is, and that is good.
You have to do good to do well.
Try to do good always. If you make a mistake, that's okay. Learn and forgive.

↓ Gets a little pious

All religions! Christianity talks of forgiveness. Nothing of this world is perfect, we must accept that and forgive. Hymns, prayers, meditation. These are found in all cultures. At the heart of Sikhism is this meditation, Naam Japo. Everyone should be mindful and actively thankful for what and who we have. Humans can think critically about the world around us. We have always had a curiosity and a love for the truth. Hinduism says that truth is eternal. We all know this deep down. Through hard work and over many generations, we now have an immense amount of knowledge and wisdom at our disposal. For example, we know that we are made up of the remnants of stars. These stars lived out unbelievable lives, only to explode in beautiful deaths. From that dust comes everything and everyone we interact with today. Science tells us this is the case. We are all made of the same building blocks. Judaism says we all were made in the image of God. I think the word god is overused and has too many connotations that come with it. God, The Universe, Everything and Everyone. They are all one and we must do our best to prolong it. Buddhism says we must refrain from taking life. Life has value. All living things have value and must be respected. When we value everything around us, we tend to want to better it. This is in our nature as people. One of the pillars of Islam is zakat, alms-giving. Charity to people and things in need. Humans are social creatures, we naturally want to help others. We like to work together. That being said, some seem to have little to no empathy. That's just the way it is. Others, the vast majority of people have more, and must remind each other that humans must care and empathize and work together. Not just humans with humans, but with other animals and nature too. Native peoples from around the world teach the importance of enjoying and bettering the land and sea we find ourselves on and in. Can't we agree on this?

↓ Gets a little preachy

I don't care who you are as long as you try to do good and just be yourself.
There are kind people but also extremists from all walks of life.*
There is only one race and that is the Human Race.
Every culture believes in the same core values.
We must compare before we contrast.
We all naturally want to do good.
The universe is a chaotic place.
Why not fight the entropy?
I don't think I have all the answers, but I think humanity does.
We don't need to agree on everything but lets agree to these things.
One Big Step is what's needed and we must all take it together.
It won't be the last step or even the biggest, but it must be big.
There is so much out there and so much potential!
Also none of this is new, people have been saying these things for a long time.
We only just NOW have the technology to agree and make make it happen.
